Simple Way to Remove Hundreds of Tiny Deer Ticks
By Harry Hanks
This article concerns a simple way to quickly remove dangerous, Lyme Disease bearing deer ticks, in the event that one becomes infested without knowing it until the body is literally covered with the nasty pests. IT IS ALWAYS A BETTER IDEA, NOT TO BE IN A SITUATION TO GET INFESTED, but sometimes, as prolific as they are becoming is some areas of the country, it happens before one realizes it. Simply take a common roll of Duct tape, and peel it back, and attach it to itself, with the sticky part on the outside. It then becomes a rolling lint brush, or more a tick sticker, of sorts. One rolls it up and down the infested areas, and most of the small, almost microscopic ticks are picked up by the sticky tape. When the tape looses it's stickiness, tear off and discard the old tape with the ticks attached, roll a fresh section of the tape back up itself as before, and repeat, until 95% of the ticks are removed. Then one must still get the ones that are left, ESPECIALLY the ones that are attached. Do not freak out, for they must stay attached for several hours to transmit the Lyme Spirochete to the host. But it cannot be stressed too much, that time spent searching one's loved ones, or him/herself, even if it takes hours, is much better than the alternative, and possible miss a tick that attaches for a length of time long enough for the tick to transmit possible diseases, some of which are with the host for a lifetime.
