"freecreditreport.com", is a scam
By Harry Hanks
"freecreditreport.com", is a SCAM. As you have probably seen, and heard, this inconsiderate advertiser is constantly on the television airways, proclaiming their "free" service by the most irritating means possible, lately with a bunch of punks singing the "to the bone" irritating jingle, with the individual stations making the sound extra hot so that you have to turn the sound down, or change the channel. It would not be so bad, if they were actually being truthful, but they are not. If you do try to use this "free" service, you will find that you must enroll in "triple advantage", and the so called "free" report comes as a part of this service,, so it is not free, thus they are a scam site, since they use false, and misleading advertising to promote their product. I could do the same, by offering a "free", indoor plant production unit, but they must first enroll in my fan club, and the "free" plant production unit comes as a part the service offered by enrolling in my fan club. It doesn't take a genius to see that the "free" indoor plant production unit is far from "free", since I would have to charge a $599 enrollment in my fan club to cover the cost of this "free" unit. What would you think of my company if I used these tactics? Not very much, but yet, many television networks allow this scam advertiser to advertise all day long, using these same, dishonest, intentionally misleading advertisements. And if you must use this "free service", in spite of the information warning you not to, be prepared to keep it for the rest of your life, for it seems as if it is impossible to cancel it from charging your credit card every month. Best to stay away from any company that uses this type of marketing, for if they do this, what will they do with your credit report?

Contributor's Note
Author not affiliated in any way with this company, has never used it, and never will. He just hates to hear their intentionally nerve wracking, inconsiderate commercials, and knew that if they were this unscrupulous to use this ad, then they had to be crooks, and after some investigation, it turns out they are.

I was once signed up with freecreditreport.com and found out I was being charged monthly. I went to cancel with them (which can only be done over the phone) and was told that I would no longer be charged anything...another month later and I found a charge for 74 dollars. I then had to call again and cancel my account again as it was clearly not cancelled the first time around. Stay away from freecreditreport.com!
